Night At The Circus.
While we wondered how a modern day circus could hold the attention of children, and adults, used to the non-stop stimulus of electronic entertainment, we soon got our eyes opened – at the rollercoaster of thrills at one of the Belfast performances of Ireland based Circus Vegas.
Welcomed with a smile and a look of welcome (sadly missed in many retail businesses today), we were shown to the best seats by a helpful usher, who also turned out to be the show’s drummer and member of the family behind the Circus Vegas business.
As we waited for the show to begin, we were first entertained by smiling and friendly circus staff offering sweets and Circus Vegas trinkets. As the show progressed these people were also the main acts in the show.
From the opening drum beats, sounding out in a dark and star-filled auditorium, the pace and excitement built and continued for the full duration of the show.
The professionalism of each performance, supported by upbeat music, pacing, and sophisticated lighting would have competed easily with the best performances on Britains Got Talent.
If you believe circuses are nothing like they used to be, book tickets the next time Circus Vegas are in town for the time of your life.
