Children took over the streets of downtown Belfast during the Greta Thunberg led worldwide Strike for Climate.
It took children to do what adults have so far failed to do, and draw attention by public protest and focus on world leaders who have so far failed to act on the scale and timeframe required to save the earth from manmade destruction.
While the majority of those taking part in the Belfast protest were schoolchildren, the attendees ranged from toddlers in prams with their mums to pensioners and marine biologists working on the environmental coalface.
Coming together as united voice on the need for immediate action on saving the world’s environment for future generations was inspiration and stimulus for those attending and watching at home.
