Break the rules.
I’ve always been artistic and explored different forms of creative expression. I had been struggling with music for a long time when I decided to get a DSLR camera. Photography was just meant to be a therapeutic thing, but I became fascinated by it.
I began to study locations and plan lots of technically challenging photos. Eventually I realised that I was finding a lot of unique perspectives of Northern Ireland and refining an image style that was distinctly my own.
My work is a bit different because I take a lot of my pictures late at night when people are asleep. I often wander off the beaten track, and sometimes I end up in places I shouldn’t be. There’s something about discovering views that other people don’t get to see.
I like to inspire people to be boisterous and break rules. I think humanity is currently on a very dark path due to our current way of thinking and our obedience to powers that do not serve us. We need to break more rules and be less passive about the world we are accepting.
I believe this reality has infinite potential for better things if only more people could see it. So break the rules!
