A creative eye
In Northern Ireland we are ‘treated’ with such an array of weather, so this can make it difficult to plan everything as you want, however, living in NI I can’t let the weather dampen my spirit and ruin getting out and getting my shots. I love photography, it’s my go to and getaway from everything. A great way to clear the head and get creative.
I have always had a keen interest in photography and it has become such a huge hobby amongst many.
Within my role as a Graphic designer, the creative eye comes in handy when looking for that new and unique perspective of a location that others are yet to find; easier said that done at times.
Most of the time I have a pretty solid idea of where I am going, but it is nice to accidentally stumble upon a hidden gem.

Big Yellow on Blue: Up close and personal with Big yellow in Belfast. The beautiful bright contrast between the sky and a famous, iconic part of the Belfast skyline.
Giant in the Mist: One of the two giants appearing from misty and foggy Belfast below. I was on the balcony in work and I didn’t think there was going to be much to photograph, until the crane appeared from beneath the fog.
Starry Castle Ruins in Antrim: A brisk and beautiful night in the Antrim Castle Gardens. Maybe not as well known, and more accurately called the ‘Italianate Tower and Castle Ruins’. A beautiful focal point for an equally impressive night sky.
Albert Clock Light Trails: Shot on a cold, dark night in Belfast City Centre, perfect light trail conditions. I got close to the Albert Clock and shot from down low using my trusty 10-18mm wide angle lens, which helped capture this beautiful, cool coloured, urban city shot.

B&W H&W: One of Belfast’s iconic cranes in the Harland & Wolff shipyard, edited and changed to Black and White, reflecting on Big Yellow’s brilliance in the foreground puddle.

Antrim’s Sunny Summer Castle Gardens: A beautiful, bright Summer’s day in the Antrim Castle Gardens, shot along one of its calm canals, surrounded by greenery and foliage. Great walking conditions with a perfect view.

Bluebell Brilliance in Portglenone: Such an amazing and enchanting location at this time of year. The bluebell brilliance that presents itself in Portglenone is stunning, as it covers the majority of the surrounding area. I took a minute, looked up at my surroundings and saw the power and beauty of nature all around me.
