Drone photography and videography portfolio – Loughareema
If your aerial photography or video needs to be as good as that on a David Attenborough natural history programme, you’ve come to the right place.
Experienced filming from the air for BBC Worldwide and photographing for multinational clients, Bout Yeh lead photographer Stephen S T Bradley will work with you to ensure we capture your location in the best possible light.
Loughareema, also know as The Vanishing Lake, is located inland from the north coast of County Antrim eight miles south of the market town of Ballycastle.
Scientists and geologists are still at a loss to understand why the lake dramatically empties and fills in a seemingly haphazard way.
Legend tells us of an incident in the 19th century, of the drowning of a man and horses after driving his coach along the road that cuts through the lake in the dead of night, when he assumed the lake was empty of water. It is said their ghosts appear from time to time as a warning of the dangers of this mysterious place.

Rock piles made by tourists to celebrate their visit to Loughareema.

We can clearly see the small streams that feed The Vanishing Lake as they cut their way through the dried bed of the naturally drained lake.
